Dinner? What should I prepare? Sometimes we get so disgusted by the same thing everyday and we are always searching for new and exciting meals to prepare for our families, albeit, them being easy to prepare. Today we give you a great recipe that covers all of that. Check it out below.
Ingredients
For 8 Serving(s) ()
- 1/4 cup(s) Margarine
- 1/4 cup(s) flour
- 4 cup(s) whole milk
- 1 stalk(s) escallion, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 clove(s) garlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoon(s) Hot Pepper Sauce
- 1 cup(s) Cheddar Cheese, grated
- 2 pound(s) White Rice, boiled
- 1 can(s) Mixed Vegetables, drained
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt, optional
- 2 ounce(s) cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup(s) breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon(s) paprika
Baked Rice & Cheese Directions
Melt Margarine in a saucepan and add the flour. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth.
Pour in the milk, a little at a time, and continue stirring to avoid lumping. Add the chopped escallion, onion, garlic and hot pepper sauce.
Turn off the flame; mix in the grated cheese until it melts.
Fold in the boiled rice, mixed vegetables and salt, if used.
Scrape the mixture into a lightly greased casserole. Grate on the cheese, sprinkle evenly with breadcrumbs then top with paprika. Clean the edge of the dish.
Bake in a preheated oven, 350°F/180°C for 20 minutes.
Enjoy
