A mixture of both healthy vitamins and nutrients along with some good old protein, and you have a perfect snack. Today we give you the recipe for a tasty Beef and Callaloo Loaf (Callaloo is otherwise known as Collard Greens in other countries). Check it out below.
For 8 people ()
- 1 teaspoon(s) Black Pepper
- 1 packet(s) streaky bacon
- 2 teaspoon(s) Fish and Meat Sauce
- 2 medium eggs
- 1 pound(s) minced beef
- 3 teaspoon(s) thyme leaves
- 1/2 cup(s) breadcrumbs
- 2 small onions
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1 cup(s) callaloo, chopped
- 3 clove(s) garlic
Beef & Callaloo Loaf Directions
Combine thoroughly the first eight (7) ingredients.
Add beaten eggs and breadcrumbs, mix in the callaloo.
Spoon and press into a greased loaf pan or dish. Overlap pieces of Streaky Bacon vertically on top of the loaf.
Bake at 180 degrees C/350 degrees F until done.
Serve Note: To be served with crisp vegetable salad, your favourite pasta and a refreshing Juice.
