For 4 people

  • 1/4 cup(s) Anchor Butter
  • 2 tablespoon(s) cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup(s) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 2 cup(s) whole milk or water
  • 3 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon(s) lemon rind

Lemon Sauce Directions

Melt Anchor Butter in a saucepan. Dissolve cornstarch in a little water, add to the butter, then mix in the sugar and salt.

Gradually stir in milk or water.

Cook stirring constantly until mixture boils and becomes thick and clear.

Remove from heat stir in lemon juice and lemon rind.

Use as desired.
